There was a time when commercials starred big names though were very simple. Ads like Bio Amla and Kala Kola starred top models of their times such as Ayesha Alam and Mahnoor Baloch but as the media has been advancing even commercials have become music videos with incredible budgets and there is a race to see who hires the biggest name in the industry. In one interview on ARY digital Director Mehreen Jabbar revealed that these days the budget of a 30 second commercial in Pakistan is 80 Lakhs (800,000) One such ad that was made last year was the ad for Tarang Chai which starred Big names such as Producer/Director Syed Noor, Director/Producer/Actor Javed Shiekh, Lollywood Actresses Sana and Saima and Lollywood actor Moamar rana. The commercial is like an entire Music video and has been made very tastefully with singers imported from India and catchy tunes and amazing dance moves. The entire commercial has a very typical Lollywood feel to it.
Its time once agaiain for the stars to dazzle us with their gorgeous presence on the red carpet of the Lux Style Awards. The Lux Limited Edition commercial, starring Iman Ali and Shaan, has hit the tubes. Iman is representing the black limited edition in a gorgeous flowy black gown where as Shaan is suited in a black tux. The Commercial has been made quite elegantly, boasting a heavy budget. We have our fingers crossed hoping that things go better this year and we get to see our LSA in full bloom.
A small ceremony was held to honor the hard work of all Pakistan celebrities this year in Lahore. The Usually grand event that is planned a year in advance was held on a much smaller scale this year to keep up with the sad times that have befallen the nation lately however the presence of stars and the ceremony showed that Pakistani people do not give up. They live life going on with their chins up.
